Between Two Worlds

Hank and Leilani join forces with castaways connected to the Kalaupapa settlement to resist the looting of an ancient tomb. Captured by the Japanese, they seek escape through lava tubes beneath Molokai, relying on the island knowledge Leilani has shared.

Hank’s journey from selfishness toward sacrifice culminates in a defense of the sacred site. After returning to military service, he comes back years later as a doctor, searching for Leilani and a life beyond the horrors of war.
