An Ancient World · An Unlikely Hero
A musician’s journey into destiny
Born into the royal line of Teotihuacan and injured by an enemy prince at birth, Koko is hidden away and raised under Popo’s protection. She teaches him to enter the Nagual, a spirit realm woven into the story’s mythology.
At eighteen, Koko travels with his adopted sister Bebe from Chaco toward Teotihuacan. His music becomes a source of hope as dangerous rivalries and sorcery threaten the people and the throne.
The Story
Love, Rebellion & the Spirit World
Koko and Bebe gather allies on their journey, including veteran warriors and a mysterious northern woman. In Tikal, Koko faces the sorcerer Coltal, the ruler Nxmul, and his half-sister XiXi. A daring rescue leads the companions back to Teotihuacan, where an army threatens the city.
Through songs of love and hope, Koko inspires resistance. The struggle changes the city forever, while the legends of his travels and Bebe’s carved images endure.
